Hi, I'm Alysha Maiorelli, The Raw Food Nerd and owner of Positively Plant-Powered. I am a Plant-based Lifestyle Coach, Raw/Vegan chef, and am currently training to become a Holistic Health/Nutrition Counselor. Welcome to Raw Food Nerd, the blog. I created Raw Food Nerd back in 2010 as a way to document my journey while following a plant-based lifestyle; one that predominately consists of whole, ripe, organic raw food. Raw Food Nerd is part my own raw and vegan food journey {as I have been vegan for a total of 8 years now and a high carb low fat raw/vegan for 4)} and part a vehicle for showing people that healthy food is not boring, bland, and time-consuming, but rather exciting, delicious, and as simple or complicated as YOU desire. All recipes are my own and inspired by my knowledge of the high carb, low fat, raw/vegan diet. Everything is gluten-free, low-sodium, and oil-free!
